Programs

Students who finish all course requirements will graduate with a regular high school diploma.  Students are offered flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work with qualified teachers in small groups and in one to one settings with teachers.

 

High School Completion

Students may enroll to complete a general education diploma.  To graduate with a regular high school diploma, students must successfully complete the following courses:

 

STUDENTS WITH PRIOR HIGH SCHOOL CREDITS

  • 4 units of English

  • PE/Health

  • Computer applications

  • Life Adjustments

  • American government

  • U.S. History

  • Social Science Elective

  • 2 units of math

  • Biology

  • Science Elective

  • 7 elective units

STUDENTS WHO ENTER AS FRESHMAN

  • 4 units of English

  • PE/Health

  • Computer applications

  • Life Adjustments

  • American government

  • U.S. History

  • Social Science Elective

  • 3 units of math

  • Fine Arts

  • Employability Skills

  • Biology

  • 2 science electives

  • 5 elective units

Allied Health High School Completion

This course of study is recommended for those students who are interested in pursuing a career in the health sciences industry.

  • 4 units of English

  • PE/Health

  • Computer applications

  • Life Adjustments

  • American government

  • U.S. History

  • Social Science Elective

  • 3 units of math

  • Biology

  • 3 units of Health Sciences  (These courses will include job shadowing and on the job training.)

  • 4 units of electives

  • Employability skills  (06/07 freshman and beyond only)

  • Fine Arts (06/07 freshman and beyond only)

Opportunities may be provided for students to attain a certified nurse’s aide certificate.  Students are also encouraged to take Medical Terminology and Anatomy and Physiology.

 

English as a Second Language High School Completion Program

Students will be able to enhance English acquisition skills while completing requirements for a high school diploma.  See course descriptions for course choices.
